Giving Tuesday: Give the Gift of Education

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday officially behind us, it's time to come together and collectively give back by celebrating Giving Tuesday. Booker T. Washington once said, "Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others."

Not sure how to participate? There are several ways that you can participate this year, including using your voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.

One of the most significant ways to give back is within your community.

Remember, when you give back, great things happen to others and yourself.

Consider donating to a Georgia college or university, where you can contribute towards a campus program, student scholarship, and a local community.

Below are 21 college giving campaigns in Georgia to choose from. Browse around, find something near and dear to your heart, donate, and make a difference!

Hunt was 12 years into her career when she became increasingly aware that she needed to complete a bachelor’s degree to continue to advance. Hunt initially enrolled in college right after high school, but reflects that she was “not prepared or focused enough to complete a degree at that time.” While she has no regrets about joining the workforce, she began looking for educational opportunities when she approached the midpoint of her career. Now she’s enrolled at East Georgia State College completing her degree in Organizational Leadership fully online through the USG eMajor Program , This program offers a flexible route that allows students in many career paths to tailor their learning and possibly receive credit for demonstration of learning achieved during past work or military experiences. What drew Saucony to eMajor was the unparallel...
